Description
Seiris manufactures custom-made Rubber Expansion Joints designed to meet a wide range of industrial requirements. Our joints are designed to withstand:

Temperature: up to 200 °C
Pressure: up to 20 bar
Diameter: 25 to 4000 mm

Applications:
Suitable for pumped fluids, including highly aggressive acids and strong bases, particularly in conditions below the dew point.

Rubbers: natural rubber, neoprene, EPDM, silicone, butyl, chlorobutyl, nitrile, SBR, Hypalon and Viton, selected according to chemical and thermal resistance requirements.
Flanges: S275JR, S355J2G3, AISI 304, 316 and 316L steels.

All Rubber Expansion Joints are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with FSA and ASTM international standards, ensuring their reliability, safety and long service life in demanding industrial environments.
Fabrication of Rubber Expansion Joints:
At Seiris, rubber expansion joints are custom-designed to provide flexibility, durability and chemical resistance for industrial piping systems. They are designed to withstand varying temperature, pressure and fluid conditions while ensuring optimal performance.

Design criteria:
Thermal resistance – Withstands operating temperatures and fluctuations.

Corrosion resistance – Resists aggressive chemicals and fluids.

Formability – Maintains structural integrity in required shapes and convolutions.

Mechanical properties – Strength and elasticity suitable for the application.

Flexibility – Absorption of axial, lateral and angular movements.

Materials and types:
Rubbers: natural rubber, neoprene, EPDM, silicone, butyl, chlorobutyl, nitrile, SBR, Hypalon, Viton.
Flanges: S275JR, S355J2G3, AISI 304, 316, 316L.
Complete solutions for Rubber Expansion Joints
At Seiris, we manufacture single-layer or multi-layer Rubber Expansion Joints with one, two or three convolutions, offering excellent flexibility, pressure resistance and chemical protection for industrial piping systems.

Single-layer expansion joints:

A single reinforced elastomeric layer with optional convolutions, ideal for standard applications requiring a compact design, high strength and the ability to absorb small axial, lateral or angular movements.

Multi-layer compensators:

Designed for demanding conditions, these compensators combine multiple layers and convolutions to withstand higher pressures, greater movements and aggressive fluids:

Support layer – Adds shape, stability and reinforcement.
Pressure layer – Improves resistance to internal pressure.
Chemical barrier – Protects against acids, bases and corrosive environments.
Outer coating – Protects against UV, moisture and external wear.
These robust designs ensure long life and reliable performance under thermal expansion, vibration and chemical exposure.

Key Benefits:

Excellent flexibility – Absorbs axial, lateral and angular movements.

Vibration and noise reduction – Minimises mechanical stress and operating noise.

Corrosion and chemical resistance – Resistant to aggressive acids, bases and corrosive fluids.

Ability to withstand pressure and vacuum – Operate reliably under high pressure or vacuum conditions.

Thermal expansion compensation – Withstands temperature fluctuations without damage.

Easy installation and maintenance – Lightweight, compact and simple to replace.

Long service life – Durable materials ensure extended operational reliability.
