Our History
In March 1978, Jean Louis Marcillac and Robert Ramon founded SEIRIS, drawing on their expertise in chemical engineering and technical fabrics. They began by manufacturing their first Fabric Expansion Joint. Working closely with their customers, they quickly developed a wide range of customised compositions to meet a variety of application needs. This rigorous, customer-focused approach enabled SEIRIS to build a solid reputation in French industry.
A major turning point came in 1992 when Mr Bertrand Imbach, then a young business school student, joined the team. His enthusiastic “Yes, of course!” in response to a request for a quote for an installation marked the beginning of a new customer-centric approach.
Since then, SEIRIS has expanded beyond national borders, enriching its expertise in metal and rubber compensator technologies. Today, we are proud to offer our customers around the world three technologies – fabric, metal and rubber – always with tailor-made solutions designed to meet their specific needs.
